Banana Pudding recipe

Mema's Banana Pudding
One large box instant Vanilla Pudding
Two cups milk
One teaspoon Vanilla flavoring
Two 8 oz. boxes of Cream Cheese, softened
One can Sweetened Condensed Milk
One 8 oz. container of Cool Whip, thawed
One box Vanilla Wafers
Five or Six Medium to Large Bananas

Mix Vanilla pudding with milk and vanilla in one bowl. In another bowl, mix cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk, fold in Cool Whip. Add to pudding mixture. Layer Vanilla Wafers, Bananas, then pudding mix, repeat until done. Tip: Refrigerate overnight for flavors to blend!

For the Memorial Day celebration, I put 3 Blueberries on top and surrounded them with sliced strawberries to have a red, white and blue dessert.

One Year Blogaversary

Today is my 1 year blogaversary! I have had an interesting year meeting new friends and commenting about everyday happenings in my life! I hope to get back into crocheting soon, now that our hectic life is starting to slow down! The "hectic" is due in part starting with the birth of my Grand-twins in March, all the way through to the fact that DH got laid off from his job here in Fort Worth on the 15th of May, and by the 21st was working again at another place! However, the new job entails driving to Dallas every day in bumper to bumper traffic (literally), and is 1 hour each way! :( Gas prices have been horrible here, too (as I know they are everywhere!) Dh's father and mother also moved here recently, and then his father had a mild heart attack and has been in the hospital (and now rehab) for the last 3 weeks, so we have been busy going to see him every night- not much time for me to crochet, knit or sew!!

I WANT TO SAY "THANK YOU" TO ALL OF OUR VETERANS EVERYWHERE FOR DEFENDING OUR COUNTRY!!! Today at work, we are celebrating Memorial Day. I am taking what we have always called "Mema's Banana Pudding" (pictured above-DH's Mom is a great cook!) to the celebration. I will try to remember to post the recipe later. Have a great day!

Plumbing & Scarborough Faire

DH has been working on plumbing the last few weekends, along with his "certified" plumber's helper pictured below:

Last weekend, I talked him into letting her have a day off from plumbing, and we went to Scarborough Faire in Waxahachie, Texas:

We enjoyed getting to see all the sights. There were a lot of interesting shows, jousting, glassblowing, a village blacksmith, improv comedy, you name it they had it! I got a lot of good exercise with all the walking we did!

I still have been "off" of my crafting, but I have been looking at all the items Oiyi has been sewing lately on her blog, and would like to try making both the cloth book and the baby quilt if I can find them at JoAnn Fabrics this weekend. I also always try to get over to Bron's blog and Little Wild's blog to see what they are up to. Their blogs are always good for a lot of inspiration! My friend frogginqueen is soon going to have a baby boy, so I need to be on the lookout for something fun that I can gift her with!
